Registered users with the e-commerce site can send items in their current basket to other registered users. The sender's basket remains in his/her account.
Baskets are always forwarded with line item information. The user can choose to forward pricing adjustments as well.
The sender has to know the recipient's email address and it must match the address on their registration. If there is more than one user registered with the same email address, the recipient's username is also needed.
A "basket forwarded" notification displays for the recipient when he logs on to their e-mail (Microsoft Outlook for example). The user may pick up the basket at anytime after logging into BuyAutomation.
č To forward a basket:
1 On your basket page, click Forward.
2 Enter the recipient's email address.
3 If there is more than one user registered for the same email address, enter the username.
4 (Optional) Enter text to display with your forwarded basket.
5 If you want a notification when the basket is picked up, check the corresponding box.
6 Check the box "Include Pricing adjustments", if applicable.
7 Check the box "Include basket text" to forward Billing/Shipping text, customer reference and basket notes.
8 Check the box "urgent" if you would like the e-mail flay with High importance.
9 Click Submit.
