RTC version: display by hovering over the Model Configurator title.
Problems during installation:
Unable to install: Enter www.buyautomation.com/rtc on your browser's address bar and run the installation program from this page.
Remember - Close your browser before you run the RealTime Configurator setup.exe.
Note: You may have to reboot your machine after installing the RTC
Internet Explorer version: The RealTime Configurator can be installed from Internet Explorer, versions 4.0 or later. To determine the version, select Help | About from your Internet Explorer's menu.
Security Settings for Internet Explorer: Review the Security Settings of Internet Explorer. Select Tools | Internet options, open the Security tab. Set your options as indicated:
NOTE: always check with your IT department before you modify your Internet Explorer's settings.
· Choose Medium for your security level in the Internet Zone.

· Click the Custom Level button and make the following selections:
· Download signed ActiveX controls: Prompt
· Run ActiveX controls and plug-ins: Enable
· Script ActiveX controls marked safe for Scripting: Enable
QuoteAutomation: Close this desktop application if you have it installed on your computer. Do not run QuoteAutomation and BuyAutomation.com simultaneously.
Temporary Internet files: If you cannot run the RTC after being prompted to install a new version, delete your temporary Internet Files, including the Offline content. Select Tools | Internet Options and click Delete files. On the Delete files dialog box, check the box for Offline content and then click OK.
Proxy Server: should be off: Select Tools | Internet Options and go to the LAN Connection tab. Un-check the "use a Proxy server" option.
Your display's screen area should be 1024 x 768 pixels to see the complete RealTime Configurator, including the Model Notes. Go to Start | Control Panel | Display and open the Settings tab on the Display Properties dialog box. Set the screen area to 1024 x 768 and click Apply.
è Every time you access the RTC, you get the message to update your RTC version
· With every release you will be prompted to Install a new Real Time Configurator
· Follow the prompts on the page.
· You may need to access the link for "MSN Files". These are updates published by Microsoft that may need to be installed on your machine for the RTC to work properly.
· On the Knowledge Base you will see Step-by-Step instructions on how to troubleshoot your RTC along with the Basket Grid. The article name " Problems Installing the Basket Grid and RTC" and it is a featured article.
· Be sure to Reboot your machine after you have completed the steps.
