Pricing Configured Models

Getting pricing for a configured instrument requires that you define its components in the Real Time Configurator.

è   To price a model if you know the complete model code:

1 Type the complete model number into the "Add entire product" Section.

2 Type in the quantity.

3 Click Add to basket.
If the model has required tags or other configuration issues, you have to define them with the Real Time Configurator.

è   To get pricing for a Configured Model:

1. On the Product List (search results), click on the image\model.gif icon to be priced. The RealTime Configurator displays.

2. Enter model quantity and requested date by clicking the corresponding links.

3. Configure Selections:
Click on "Selections" to display its break levels underneath.
Click on each break level to display its options in the detail pane.
Only valid selections display.

Make ONE selection for each break level: click its circle. image\circchk.gif

 Make ONE OR MORE selections for Optional Suffixes: click its circle(s).

Note: If you make a selection that affects another break level, the affected break level displays a red exclamation markimage\folexcl1.gif. Click on the affected break level and change to a valid selection. The exclamation mark disappears.

4. Configure Auxiliary Specifications:
Click on the plus box [+] to display the break levels.
Click on a break level to display its options on the detail pane (right side of the screen).

Select one or more options for every necessary break level: click its circle(s)

Click on the quantityimage\editcas.gif for each selected AuxSpec to edit it (default is 1). The quantity displays before the AuxSpec code.

5. Configure ECEP ’s: FoxMass Engineering Cost Estimate Product
Click on the plus box [+] to display the break levels.
Click on a break level to display its options on the detail pane (right side of the screen).

Select one or more ECEP’s: click its circle(s)

Click on the quantityimage\editcas.gif for each selected ECEP to edit it (default is 1). The quantity displays before the ECEP code.

6. Create or Edit Custom Auxiliary Specifications: Click on "Custom Aux Specs" and:

Select one or more Custom AuxSpecs: click its circle(s)

Click the provided link to add a new Custom Aux Spec.

Click the Custom Aux Spec's code to modify the quantity.

(Optional) Select TeamBuy Member to display their Aux Specs.

NOTE: The model code and the total price are updated as selections are made and changed.

7. Click on "Tags" to enter Tag sets.

Input Tags for Model Dialog Box displays. See.how to enter tag information.

8. Click Update Basket to add the Model to the current quote.

9. For some models, the configurator prompts to build a compound to reach a valid configuration. All items configured this way are saved to the quote as a Data Driven Compound.

 

Note: The present manufacturing system does not accept more than 28 characters for model codes. See the Edit Custom Selection for Model Family Dialog Box for a procedure for longer model codes.
