The RealTime Configurator is an ActiveX control that allows you to easily configure models on BuyAutomation.com. It validates a configuration as the user makes selections. The selectable / non-selectable attribute is always in line with the current model's options, so configuring a model becomes very fast and straightforward.
The RealTime Configurator is identified with its own icon
. The first time you choose the icon, you run an installation program. Should you have problems with the installation program, please go to HELP | Knowledge base for any articles to help you troubleshoot. If this does not resolve your issue then please use the feedback form, so we can get back to you with assistance.
The RealTime Configurator can be opened from the Search Results and from the Basket page, using the icon link or enter the model code in the Configure Model Box located on the left hand column
The first time you click the RealTime Configurator icon, you will be prompted to run the installation program for the application.
Review your browser's security settings, to allow the installation and use of the Configurator. Set your Browser 's Security Settings to Medium or as follows:
ˇ Download signed ActiveX controls: Enable
ˇ Run ActiveX controls and plug-ins: Enable
ˇ Script ActiveX controls marked safe for Scripting: Enable
On Internet Explorer, the Security Settings are accessed form the menu item Tools| Internet Options: on the Security Tab click Custom Level.
Depending on your IE you may see a Yellow Bar across the top of your browser. Right mouse click on the yellow bar and select Allow Active X
č To install the Configurator:
1 Click the icon to download the setup file.
2 On the File Download dialog box, select "Save to disk" and select a folder for the setup file.
3 Click OK.
4 On the Download complete dialog box, click Close.
5 Close your Internet Explorer browser (www.BuyAutomation.com and ALL other windows that might be open).
6 Open Windows Explorer, and go to the folder with the setup file. Double-click setup.exe to start the installation program.
You may be prompted to restart your computer after the install.
RealTime Configurator features:ˇ Click the Full Screen link to remove the banner and Search column and get more RTC information on your screen. (Red Arrows located at the top of your browser)
ˇ Right-click on a selection to display the rules for a particular "selectable/not selectable" attribute.
Use Windows' Add/Remove Utility on your computer to uninstall the RealTime Configurator on the Web. Click Start | Settings | Add/Remove Programs to access the utility.
