Knowledge Base

A Knowledge base for the e-commerce site, the QuoteAutomation application, and other related issues is at BuyAutomation | Help | Knowledge Base. Users can download new releases, documentation, product enhancements, and bug fixes from the Knowledge Base.

č   To access the Knowledge Base:

Selectt Help | Knowledge Base from the Top Bar Menu

 

č   To search the Knowledge base:

1 (Optional) Select a Knowledge Base from the pull-down.

2 Enter text in the "search" box.

3 Select "and" or "or", depending on how you want the lookup function to use the words in the "search" box.

4 Click Search. A list of related articles display.

5 Click a title to open the article text and the links to its related files.

 

č   To download a file from the Knowledge Base

The following instructions refer to a generic KBfile.exe file.

Most files in the Knowledge Base are self-extracting zipped files (type exe). A few smaller files are not zipped and the procedure below can be stopped at step 4.

1 Click on the file KBfile.exe to download the file. The File Download dialog displays.

2 Select the option "Save this Program to disk". You may chose to "run" the file

3 Click OK.

4 Select a destination folder for the file.

5 Open Windows Explorer.
(Select Start | Programs | Windows Explorer.)

6 Find the file KBfile.exe in the specified folder

7 Double click the file KBfile.exe. This is a self-extracting file. The Winzip Self-Extractor dialog box displays to enter a destination for the files that will be extracted.

8  Click Unzip.

9  Click Close on the Winzip Self-Extractor dialog box.

10    Find the Folder specified in step 7 to access the file(s).
