Users can create a database with Resale or Custom Items for their login.
To complete the resale form you must enter the following information. Any item with a

Long Description |
Enter detailed information concerning the description of product or scope of work for services. This information is usually found in the submitted purchase order or quote from a vendor. This will assist employees who do not have access to the vendor information in determining the definition of the resale item. |
The part number for the resale item is its unique identifier for the database in BuyAutomation.28 character maximum.
If a part number already exists in the resale database and it is updated/saved, the existing item will be overwritten with the new information.
If the part number does not exist in the resale database and it is updated/saved, a new item will be created in the database.
Resale Parts require a Part Number, Description & Amount!
· Select the Category that best pertains to your product. Use the drop down menu and highlight the selection
· Set your default for Category by checking the box located to the right "make default". Category will default to your choice when creating new resale parts
è To access the Resale database:
· Select Resale Database from the Profile menu.
OR
· On your current basket page, click the Add a Resale/Custom Item link.

Import & Export Resale Data using Excel
1 On the Resale Database list page, click the New Resale Part link.
2 Enter all required data. The part number has to be new to the Resale Database.
3 Select "Add to Resale Database".
4 Click Submit. The item is saved to your Resale Database.

3 Select "Add to Basket"
4 Enter a quantity and a requested date.
5 Click Submit. The item is saved to the current Basket.

3 Select "Add to Resale Database and add to Basket"
4 Enter a quantity and a requested date.
5 Click Submit. The item is saved to the Resale Database and to the current Basket.
1 On the Resale Database list, check the Add box(es).
2 Click Add selected.
3 The Resale Items display in your current basket.
4 To edit resale item data see the next procedure.
1 On the Resale Database list, click an Edit icon.
2 Make the necessary changes and/or enter tags.
3 Select "add to basket"
4 Enter a quantity and a requested date.
5 Click Submit. The Resale item displays on your basket.
Landed Cost calculation will reflect on this page. If other price adjustments apply to the resale part the part must be added to the basket.

3 Right mouse click – Edit Tags
4 Enter any information and Save
1 First access "export" data link. You MUST use the same column heading that are located at the top of the spreadsheet.
2 Fill in the correct information pertaining to your resale in the proper columns
3 Copy Spreadsheet. Be sure to copy the column heading.
4 Access "import" data link. Data will be pasted in the fields.
5 View resale in your Resale Data.
1 Use the filter options located at the left of the screen to access the Resale data that you need
2 Click the Export to Excel link
3 Excel spreadsheet opens another window
When users change a Resale Item's information in the Database, users choose to save the changed Resale item to:
· to the database only
· to the current basket only
· to both: the database and the basket.
1 On the Resale Database list, click the Edit icon.
2 Edit the part number and any other field.
3 Select to:
- Update Resale Database (only available on YOUR resale part)
- Add to Basket
- Update Resale Database and add to Basket. (only available on YOUR resale part)
4 Click Submit.
"Update Resale Database" will save a new resale part to the database – if a new part number has been defined
"Add to basket" will save the item to the basket.
1 On the Line item list (Basket Page) click the Resale icon.
2 Edit any of the fields.
3 Select to:
- Update Resale Database (only available on YOUR resale part)
- Update Basket
- Update Resale Database and Basket. (only available on YOUR resale part)
4 Click Submit. The new information will be saved to the resale database and /or basket, depending on your selection.
1 On the Resale Database list, check the Delete box(es).
2 Click Delete selected.
è To copy Resale / Custom Items from the DATABASE:
1 Access your Resale Database. Go to Profile | Resale
2 Click the copy icon next to the resale you want copy
3 A new resale part will be added with a "01" added to the part number. All part numbers need to be unique.
